My friend Emmanuel Vukovich called me to come record for Oscar-winning (Born Into Brothels) film composer John McDowell's upcoming score for Salam. It's a film about the first Muslim Nobel Laureate, Abdus Salam, who's work led to the eventual discovery of the Higgs Boson. I spent 2 days recording at John's studio in upstate New York, and Rose Productions assisted with contracting and producing remote sessions for shehnai and sitar in Mumbai and Germany. This one was a blast, and I'll be sure to update when it releases.
